wants to leave their best friend at home when they travel? Not
many! This section offers you assistance in working out your travel
itinerary with Fido or Catnip or Tweetie. If you're flying, most
airlines detail their pet policy somewhere on their website, often
under labels such as "travel information," "travel support," or
"special needs." Some airlines, such as Southwest, will not transport
pets. Others, including American and United, allow dogs, cats,
and birds to travel with passengers in the cabin. Pets also can
be transported as checked baggage or as unaccompanied cargo. However,
be very careful with this option as numerous beloved pets do not
survive a crated journey in the belly of a plane. |
